위메이드 블록체인 사업과 SK플래닛 OK캐쉬백 사업 파트너십 강화양사 시너지 창출 위해 긴밀한 협업 관계 구축… 상호 간 지분 투자 단행박관호 의장은 주식 매각 대금으로 위믹스 매입 예정…위믹스 생태계 발전에 기여㈜위메이드(대표 장현국)와 SK플래닛(대표 이한상)은 블록체인 및 플랫폼 시장 생태계 확장을 위해 전략적 제휴를 체결했다.양사는 전략적 제휴를 보다 긴밀하고 속도감 있게 추진하기 위해 상호 간 지분 투자를 진행한다.위메이드와 자회사 전기아이피는 SK플래닛 지분 7.08%, 5.31%를 모회사 SK스퀘어로부터 인수한다. 인수금액은 위메이드 200억 원, 전기아이피 150억 원으로, 총 350억 원이다.SK플래닛은 위메이드가 발행한 전환사채(CB) 200억 원을 취득하고 약 150억 원 규모의 박관호 의장 보유 주식을 인수해 위메이드 지분 약 1.27 %를 보유하게 된다.박관호 의장은 이번 주식 매각 대금으로 위믹스를 매입한다. 위믹스 생태계 발전과 활성화를 위한 결정이다.이와 함께 위메이드와 SK플래닛은 양사의 기술력, 서비스 강점을 적극 활용해 다양한 공동 마케팅, 프로모션을 적극 모색하고 있다. 또한, OK캐쉬백 NFT 멤버십 등 블록체인 분야로도 협력을 확대한다.SK플래닛 이한상 대표는 “이번 파트너십을 통해 플랫폼 생태계 혁신을 가져오고 고객에게 새로운 경험과 가치를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다”며 “위메이드와 지속적인 시너지를 창출하고 좋은 결실을 맺을 수 있도록 노력할 것”이라고 말했다.위메이드 장현국 대표는 “SK플래닛은 OK캐쉬백과 같은 오래 지속된 마케팅 플랫폼을 보유한 회사로, 위믹스 플랫폼과 제휴를 통해서 양사가 큰 시너지를 얻을 수 있을 것”이라며, “향후, 투명사회 플랫폼 위퍼블릭(Wepublic) 연결 등을 통해서 한국 시장에서의 성장에 큰 도움이 될 것”이라고 말했다.한편, 위메이드는 SK플래닛과 파트너십을 시작으로, 다른 국내외 주요 기업들과 폭넓은 파트너십을 추진한다는 계획이다.
